Lives of the Nigerian youths have been threatened and disrupted as the second peaceful protest held at Enugu state while canvassing for the end of the police brutality.
Nigerian artistes which include Phyno, Kcee, Zoro and Flavour spotted at the scene have cried out to the governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to avoid threats that could lead to havoc.
While the protest aims at being peaceful, thugs and hoodlums allegedly sent by the government burst into cause chaos and as a result, the youths paid no attention to the sent thugs in order to avoid any further crisis.
On getting to the office of the governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, it was a silent walked away without anyone uttering a word to them.
It should be recalled that these musicians have been in their respective states to join the protests since its inception. Thus, each of them took to their Twitter pages to warn the government to avoid threats else, they will be held responsible for any wicked act, despite the aim of the protests being for a positive and peaceful nation and not the other way round.
Read the series of tweets that explained the who scenario as naratted by Phyno below.
Enugu! 🗣Today our lives were threatened and we are making it clear that if ANYTHING happens to any single one of us or any protestors, let it be known that it was done by the ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT! @phynofino @ZoroSwagbag @iam_kcee @masterkraft_— EZEGE 1 (@phynofino) October 17, 2020
Today, our peaceful protest in Enugu from Ogbete Market to the Enugu State Government House was going well until we reached the government house. Along the way we noticed a group of thugs joined the protests…— EZEGE 1 (@phynofino) October 17, 2020
The governor came out but refused to speak up and address the protestors, instead he addressed the thugs. The thugs tried to fight us but we maintained peace because we recognized their plan.— EZEGE 1 (@phynofino) October 17, 2020
We made sure the youth remained calm yet the governor refused to answer our questions! Instead he walked out on us, unapologetically, with the thugs following him. We made it clear that we knew the people he was pretending to address were paid thugs.— EZEGE 1 (@phynofino) October 17, 2020
As we have been saying: The movement won’t stop! We come in peace as always! ✌🏾❤️— EZEGE 1 (@phynofino) October 17, 2020
